Burgled Bulldogs

Robbie_Newton.png Last night, a robbery here in Touristville shook the small businesses of the district.

Bob’s World of Wheels saw several unidentified individuals invade its lot. The security guards present, contracted through Pathfinder Security, have reported that they did not see any of the robbers except one, who wore a hoodie concealing his features. Both of the guards reported a very heavy sense of sleepiness in the presence of the robbers. In fact, they were both found unconscious when the lot opened the next morning. Pathfinder Security detectives are combing the area for magical activity. Electronic surveillance on the scene did not record any details of the robbery, indicating concerted efforts at electronic warfare.

Bob has reported the damages done in the course of the robbery to be in the hundreds of thousands of nuyen, and reports that their security system was fried. Bob is hard at work on dealing with the loss, and repairing it. The most important detail of the robbery that has been given to the public and Knight Errant investigators has been about the item that was stolen. Although it was not a matter of public record at the time, Bob had purchased via Lone Star auction the GMC Bulldog owned by Mad Willlie Tenka, the Crow mass murderer who plagued Touristville last summer.

Helping out a friend

“So hey,” he says. “I’ve got a couple of friends doin’ me a favor, but they need a pickup. Do you think you could go get them for me?”

“Sure,” I says, “What’s the location?”

As if bein’ in the Barrens isn’t bad enough, he’s sendin’ me to the wildest part. There’s critters out there that eat little toys like me. So’s I call up a little backup of my own.

Orion’s a good friend and good with a gun too. That’s the kinda friends you want out in the wild parts of the Barrens. We get to the location to see them dealin’ with a big lizard and a water elemental. It seems like the lizard just went to sleep, so I go for the elemental, which dodges. Orion asks what I want him to do. I tell him to distract the elemental. Next thing I know, there’s the sound of a massive longarm goin’ off. Yep, distracting. Even distracted what counts for security in this area from their normal rounds. Well, I was only told to pick ‘em up. How was I supposed to know they was tryin’ to be all quiet-like. The fighter got rid of the elemental and it was time to load up. I threw the shaman and the indian in the ‘rabbit so’s she could tend to his injuries, the fighter hops on the back of Orion’s bike and I follow on my treads. As we’re headin’ back to saner quarters, Fred says she tried to get fresh. I’m gonna have to watch her around my stuff. (to be cont’d)

Allie
Simple Beginnings

Allie___Ketchup.png I was handed this journal and it was suggested that keep track of my personal accomplishments and to write anything I might feel important within the pages. I am not one for using the matrix much so finding pen and ink sometimes might be a challenge. I am not quite sure what this will accomplish in truth, but I was told it would help me grow personally and spiritually. So here I am starting this thing with a bit of trepidation but none the less I am willing to give it a try.

My name is Allison Lightfeather but everyone knows me as Allie. I don’t have much of a story to tell, or least I don’t think so, but either way I suppose I shall start from the beginning. I was born in Everett Seattle on May 4, 2058. I never got to know my birth mother, because she died during childbirth, leaving me to be raised by my father. My father was an engineer for a small private aeronautics firm until the crash of 2.0. It was then that everything went bust. My father turned to the bottle to keep him happy and ended up marrying my step mom. But even my step mother became tired of his abuse and left one night just around my tenth birthday. I Never heard from her again. My father turned his anger and rage more toward me at that time and I dealt with the pains and sorrows of having his beatings.

I went to school in Everett without issues until the end of my middle school days. It was then that the mandatory magical aptitude tests were required to be taken. I didn’t think much of it but evidently at that time my father did. He took my test results and disappeared. I waited for him to return, but after a while even the bills stopped coming in and the house was boarded and locked up. I had been evicted. It was then that my life took a different turn.

I made my way to the Redmond district where I began to learn a whole new way of life. I have spent the last four years surviving. I don’t think I could have done it without my companion Ketchup. You see, I found him on a dark cold evening chewing on an old ketchup bottle trying to eat it. He couldn’t have been more than three months old at the time. I have had him at my side for the past three years and hopefully for another ten more.
